Sumaiya Nalukwago is an IT Professional with a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from Mbarara University of science and technology. A Tech Community Manager / Lead Organizer for Google Developer Groups Cloud Mbarara and Women Techmakers Mbarara where she works to nurture developers in Google technologies through mentorship, events and resources.
She is the Founder of Tech Over Africa Network, which has focused on bridging the digital gender gap by empowering women with essential digital skills and creating pathways to economic opportunities. She observed a significant underrepresentation of women and individuals from marginalized backgrounds. This inspired her to create platforms like Tech Over Africa Network, where a supportive and inclusive environment could foster growth, provide access to resources, and ultimately empower more individuals to participate and thrive in the technology sector.Through Tech Over Africa Network,she has impacted over 4873 women in Western Uganda with digital skills.
Sumaiya also runs a vlog- Tech Over with Sumaiya where she shares insights about navigating the non coding side of technology.
