Through those experiences\u2014across industries and continents\u2014I\u2019ve learned one truth that applies everywhere: even the best software developer in the world is limited by their ability to communicate.<\/p>\n\n\n
In fact, one of the biggest challenges I\u2019ve faced when commissioning technical projects is not finding someone who can write code\u2014it\u2019s finding someone who can both write code and understand the needs of the client, speak clearly about their own capabilities, and ask the right questions at the right time.<\/p>\n\n\n

Here in Uganda, I\u2019ve seen something promising: many learners read and write English quite well. But when it comes to speaking confidently\u2014especially with an accent and vocabulary that connects in the global economy\u2014that\u2019s where the gap often lies. And that gap can be expensive. It can be the difference between getting a job on Upwork or not. Between keeping a client or losing one.<\/p>\n\n\n
The world economy is changing fast. Remote work is booming. Programming, web design, and digital services are in high demand. And Uganda has the talent. What\u2019s needed now is the voice\u2014literally\u2014the ability to speak in a way that builds trust, clarity, and cooperation with clients all over the world.<\/p>\n\n\n
