Ayenyo Joanita is the Founder of the Mic Diabetes Foundation, a community-based organisation advancing diabetes awareness, screening, and education in Northern Uganda.
Inspired by her daughter’s Type 1 diabetes diagnosis, she has championed initiatives that improve access to information, early detection, and community support for people living with diabetes.
A Mandela Washington Fellow (UC Davis) and experienced nonprofit leader, Joanita is passionate about using technology, systems thinking, and innovation to solve real-world challenges. She believes digital tools including WordPress can transform healthcare access and create lasting impact for underserved communities across Africa.
