It is official, and confirmed. WordCamp Lira 2024 will happen this year at Lira Town College, and will be the first WordCamp in northern Uganda. WordCamp is a conference that focuses on everything WordPress. This will be a one-day event, scheduled for August 24, 2024.
WordCamp Lira 2024 will feature two tracks, one for senior WordPress fellows, and the other for the youngsters, and those beginning their journey in WordPress. But really, the two tracks shall not be restricted to age, because one can be elderly, but still be a beginner, or one could be young, but are highly skilled in WordPress.
The confirmed attendance fee is UGX 40,000 only. This fee covers three meals (breakfast, snacks, and lunch), t-shirt, and other WordPress swag items.
Important to note is that other have been other WordCamps in Uganda, namely, in Jinja, Kampala, Entebbe, and Masaka. All WordCamps are international WordPress events, supported by WordCamp Central.
